West Wales D.A

a District Association of the Camping & Caravanning Club

Coming Up...

Next Meet:

Merrixton Farm

1st May to 9th May

Stepaside, Narberth, Pembrokeshire., SA67 8PJ

WWDA Birthday Meet + Cambrian & Wyvern AGM

Merrixton is unusual in that there are plenty of electric hook-up’s but no toilet or washing facilities, but this never seems to bother anyone because it is such a super site. The field is level at the top (good places for motorhomes) then slopes down, but all the pitches have lovely views over Saundersfoot beach and across to Tenby and Caldey Island. The surrounding has to be explored, and should you not want to drive a bus will take you to the beaches and villages from right outside the site. You could always walk down to Amroth, but the climb back is a bit steep. The owners of Merrixton House are very nice and always welcome West Wales DA when we rally here.

Coronavirus Update

Inline with government guidelines due to the covid19 coronavirus pandemic.

All sites are now closed. All Meets / Temporary Holiday Sites, DofE Booking, Group bookings and any area where the primary purpose is for people to gather and socialise have been cancelled until at least the end of April, but will be constantly reviewing to see how far this needs to stretch.

The only Club Committee that will continue to ‘meet’, will be the Club Executive Committee – the Club Chairman, the Club Vice-Chairman, the Club Secretary and the Honorary Treasurer.

The Club is cancelling all Meets and Temporary Holiday Sites until the end of April. All sites are now closed. This decision may well be extended should government guidance remain that people are encouraged to social distance themselves. DAs may take decisions at a local level to cancel events further out. Whilst the Club will cancel the booking on our own sites, and put suitable notification on the Out and About App and section of our website, it is for the individual Club Unit to notify the landowner that the event is not proceeding.

Hello to all members of the West Wales D A and Camping and Caravan Club .

I would like to thank you all for your support in 2019. Also the committee members and stewards for all their hard work during the year especially at our bigger meets insuring you had a stress free holiday. Now 2020 season is upon us we have some new exciting sites along with old faithfuls. Lets hope we have good weather so you can all enjoy your stay with us.

The West Wales District Association is part of the Cambrian & Wyvern Region of the Camping and Caravanning Club. The areas covered by the Cambrian & Wyvern Region are West Wales, South Wales, Gwent, Gloucestershire and Worcester & Herefordshire.

The District Associations organise camping weekends and longer camping holidays, details of which may be found in the monthly "Out and About" publication as well as on this website.

If any member wishes to add any suggestions to our meets, which could be beneficial to us, they would be very welcome to put their ideas to me, "I'm always ready for a chat".

"We invite all campers whether in caravans, motorhomes, tents or trailer tents to join us in 2020"
